At Adams Travel, we understand that travel plans can change. This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations, amendments and refunds are handled for coach and minibus hire bookings.

2. Booking Deposit
A deposit may be required to secure your booking.
Unless Adams Travel cancels the booking, all deposits are non-refundable.
The remaining balance must be paid by the agreed payment date stated on your booking confirmation.
Failure to make payment may result in cancellation of your booking.
3. Cancellation by the Customer
If you need to cancel your booking, you must notify Adams Travel in writing by email.
The effective date of cancellation will be the date we receive your written notification.
Cancellation charges are calculated using the total booking value.
4. Cancellation Charges
The following cancellation charges apply:

| 30 days or more | 25% of the total booking value |
| 14–29 days | 50% of the total booking value |
| 7–13 days | 75% of the total booking value |
| Less than 7 days | 100% of the total booking value |
Where only a deposit has been paid and the applicable cancellation charge exceeds the deposit amount, the remaining balance shall become immediately payable.
5. Additional Costs
Any costs already incurred by Adams Travel on your behalf are payable in addition to the cancellation charges.
These may include:
- Hotels for drivers
- Ferry bookings
- Parking charges
- Toll charges
- Attraction tickets
- Event tickets
- Venue bookings
- Third-party transport services
- Special permits
These charges are non-refundable where they cannot be recovered.
6. Booking Amendments
If you need to change your booking, please contact us as soon as possible.
Changes remain subject to:
- Vehicle availability
- Driver availability
- Legal driving hour regulations
- Operational requirements
Additional charges may apply if the amendment increases:
- Mileage
- Journey time
- Waiting time
- Number of collection points
- Vehicle size
- Driver hours
7. Customer No-Show
If passengers fail to arrive at the agreed collection point without prior notice, the booking will be treated as a no-show.
In these circumstances:
- The driver may leave after the agreed waiting period.
- The booking will be considered cancelled.
- No refund will be payable.
8. Early Termination of Hire
If passengers choose to end the journey early or no longer require the vehicle after the hire has commenced, no refund will be given for any unused portion of the booking.
9. Cancellation by Adams Travel
Although extremely rare, Adams Travel reserves the right to cancel a booking where circumstances beyond our reasonable control prevent us from safely operating the service.
Examples include:
- Severe weather
- Road closures
- Vehicle breakdown beyond immediate repair
- Industrial action
- National emergencies
- Government restrictions
- Events affecting passenger or driver safety
Where possible, we will:
- Provide a suitable replacement vehicle.
- Rearrange the booking.
- Offer an alternative solution.
If no suitable alternative can be provided, any monies paid for the affected service will be refunded.
10. Vehicle Breakdown
All vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.
Should an unexpected mechanical failure occur, Adams Travel will make every reasonable effort to:
- Repair the vehicle.
- Provide a replacement vehicle.
- Minimise disruption.
- Complete the journey safely.
Any refund or compensation will be considered on a case-by-case basis and in accordance with applicable consumer law.
11. Refund Process
Approved refunds will normally be processed within 7–14 working days using the original payment method wherever reasonably possible.
Processing times may vary depending on your bank or payment provider.
12. Circumstances Where Refunds Will Not Be Issued
Refunds will not normally be provided where:
- The customer fails to attend the agreed collection point.
- Incorrect booking information was supplied.
- The customer decides not to travel after the vehicle has arrived.
- The journey is terminated due to passenger misconduct.
- The booking is cancelled within the applicable 100% cancellation period.
13. Events Beyond Our Control
Adams Travel shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Severe weather
- Flooding
- Road traffic accidents
- Road closures
- Terrorist incidents
- Civil unrest
- Industrial action
- Pandemics
- Government restrictions
- National emergencies
Where possible, we will work with customers to minimise disruption and explore suitable alternatives.
14. Your Consumer Rights
Nothing in this Refund & Cancellation Policy affects your statutory rights under the laws of England and Wales.
