2. Making a Booking
Bookings may be made by:

A booking is not confirmed until:
- We have accepted your booking request.
- Vehicle availability has been confirmed.
- Any required deposit has been received.
- A written booking confirmation has been issued.
3. Booking Information
To ensure we can provide an accurate quotation and suitable vehicle, customers should provide:
- Full name
- Contact telephone number
- Email address
- Collection address
- Destination(s)
- Date of travel
- Departure and return times
- Estimated passenger numbers
- Any additional collection points
- Luggage requirements
- Accessibility requirements
- Any special travel instructions
Customers are responsible for ensuring that all information provided is accurate.
4. Quotations
All quotations are:
- Subject to vehicle availability.
- Based on the information supplied.
- Valid for the period stated.
- Exclusive of additional charges unless specifically included.
Additional costs may arise where:
- Passenger numbers change.
- Journey routes change.
- Waiting time increases.
- Additional pick-up points are requested.
- Travel extends beyond the agreed itinerary.
5. Vehicle Allocation
Adams Travel reserves the right to allocate the most suitable vehicle for your booking.
Where operationally necessary, we may substitute the booked vehicle with another vehicle of equal or greater seating capacity without affecting the agreed service.
6. Passenger Numbers
Customers must ensure that the number of passengers does not exceed the seating capacity of the booked vehicle.
For safety and legal reasons:
- Standing passengers are not permitted.
- Seatbelts must be worn where legally required.
- Children count as individual passengers unless otherwise permitted by law.
Adams Travel reserves the right to refuse travel where passenger numbers exceed the legal seating capacity.
7. Collection & Departure Times
Passengers should be ready at the agreed collection point before the scheduled departure time.
Late arrivals may result in:
- Delays to the journey.
- Reduced time at the destination.
- Additional waiting charges.
- Cancellation of the journey if legal driving hours are affected.
Drivers are not permitted to exceed legal driving time limits.
8. Journey Itinerary
The agreed itinerary will be confirmed before travel.
Additional stops or route changes requested during the journey may only be accommodated where:
- It is operationally possible.
- Legal driver hours allow.
- The driver considers it safe.
- Additional charges, where applicable, are accepted.
9. Driver Responsibilities
Our drivers are responsible for operating the vehicle safely and professionally.
Drivers have the authority to:
- Refuse unsafe requests.
- Decline route changes that breach legal requirements.
- Refuse travel to passengers displaying abusive, threatening, violent, or unsafe behaviour.
- Stop the journey if passenger safety is compromised.
Driver decisions relating to passenger safety are final.
10. Passenger Conduct
Passengers are expected to:
- Treat the driver with respect.
- Follow all reasonable instructions.
- Wear seatbelts where required.
- Respect fellow passengers.
- Avoid behaviour that distracts the driver.
- Leave the vehicle clean and tidy.
The following are not permitted:
- Smoking or vaping where prohibited.
- Illegal substances.
- Dangerous items.
- Violent or abusive behaviour.
- Wilful damage to the vehicle.
Customers may be held responsible for damage caused by members of their group.
11. Food & Drinks
Light refreshments may be permitted on board at the driver's discretion.
Passengers should avoid bringing food or drinks that may:
- Cause excessive mess.
- Damage vehicle interiors.
- Create safety hazards.
- Disturb other passengers.
Alcohol consumption is only permitted where previously agreed by Adams Travel and where lawful.
12. Luggage
Customers must inform us in advance if travelling with:
- Large suitcases
- Wheelchairs
- Pushchairs
- Sports equipment
- Musical instruments
- Oversized luggage
Luggage space varies depending on the vehicle allocated.
For safety reasons, luggage must not obstruct gangways or emergency exits.
13. Accessibility Requirements
We are committed to providing accessible transport wherever reasonably possible.
Customers should advise us at the time of booking if any passenger requires:
- Wheelchair access
- Mobility assistance
- Additional boarding time
- Storage for mobility equipment
- Other accessibility support
This enables us to allocate the most appropriate vehicle.
14. Delays
While every effort is made to operate services on time, delays may occur due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including:
- Heavy traffic
- Road closures
- Diversions
- Accidents
- Severe weather
- Mechanical issues
- Emergency services activity
Where delays occur, Adams Travel will make every reasonable effort to minimise disruption.
15. Driver Hours
All journeys are planned in accordance with UK drivers' hours legislation.
Customers acknowledge that:
- Drivers cannot exceed legal driving limits.
- Mandatory rest breaks must be observed.
- Additional drivers may be required for longer journeys.
- Extended waiting times may incur additional charges.
16. Lost Property
Passengers are responsible for their personal belongings.
If an item is left on a vehicle, please contact us as soon as possible.
Whilst we will make every reasonable effort to recover lost property, Adams Travel cannot accept responsibility for items that are lost, stolen, or damaged.
17. Customer Liability
The customer making the booking accepts responsibility for:
- The conduct of all passengers.
- Any damage caused by passengers.
- Additional cleaning costs where necessary.
- Any additional charges arising from unauthorised itinerary changes.
Repair or cleaning costs may be recovered where appropriate.
18. Events Beyond Our Control
Adams Travel shall not be liable for delays, cancellations, or interruptions caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Severe weather
- Flooding
- Road traffic incidents
- Industrial action
- National emergencies
- Government restrictions
- Civil unrest
- Terrorist incidents
- Vehicle breakdowns beyond our reasonable control
